New Fujitsu PCs Powered by Waves

Fujitsu has announced the release of three multimedia computers that incorporate Waves MaxxAudio technology for enhanced audio performance. The FMV Biblo NW notebook and the FMV Deskpower L and FMV Deskpower F desktops are the first in Fujitsu’s extensive product line to integrate MaxxAudio into its personal computer products.

The Biblo laptops are Fujitsu’s flagship laptops and are their most popular models among Japanese users. The Biblo and Deskpower series are state-of-the-art systems that act as fully-functional multimedia stations.

“Fujitsu believes that MaxxAudio technology enhances our AV features, adding considerable value to our products. We know that users will truly enjoy our new FMV series computers with MaxxAudio,” stated a representative of Fujitsu’s Personal Marketing Division.

Waves Maxx audio enhancement algorithms are now being offered with CSR’s BlueCore-Multimedia platforms under their eXtension Partner Program. This marks the first time that Waves’ award-winning technologies will be accessible to manufacturers of Bluetooth devices using CSR’s solutions.

Waves algorithms can now be used in a wide variety of the Bluetooth applications including headphones, speakers, and car audio. And with the burgeoning popularity of Bluetooth devices in the home, office, and on the road, the possibilities for Waves audio improvement are growing.

Waves in Halo3
Halo 3 At this year’s Microsoft’s GameFest, Waves announced that Bungie’s Halo3 is the first video game to utilize its Maxx audio signal processing technologies in real-time. This dramatic development marks a significant step forward in game audio. “I have used Waves tools extensively in the sound design of earlier Halo titles, but using these tools real-time is an exciting new step for Halo3 and the video game industry,” said Marty O’Donnell, Audio Director of Bungie Studios. “These tools bring a higher level of audio realism and emotional immersion than has ever been possible. I believe the use of Waves real-time signal processing tools represents the next major breakthrough in audio quality for the video game industry.”
